Reckong Peo appears on day 2 after the Baspa valley section. It is the town stop before the journey continues to Kalpa for the night.
If you need time in town, mention it while planning this day. The circuit combines this stop with the drive from Sangla, rather than a separate overnight stay here.

A long first drive; snow chains go on when the road needs them. Overnight: Kalpa.
- Day 6: Kaza → Kalpa
Winter Spiti — 6 nights / 7 days · Back down the Spiti valley into Kinnaur.
The return follows the winter road via Kinnaur. Overnight: Kalpa.
- Day 7: Kalpa → Shimla
Winter Spiti — 6 nights / 7 days · Down the Sutlej valley to Shimla.
