About Kalpa
Kalpa sits on a slope above Reckong Peo, Kinnaur’s district headquarters, and looks straight across the valley at the Kinner Kailash range. The views are best early in the morning, when the peaks catch the first light.
The old village has traditional houses and temples among apple orchards, and makes a calm overnight stop before the drier country beyond Pooh.
