About Sangla
Sangla lies in the Baspa valley, reached by a side road that leaves the main highway at Karcham. The valley is greener than Spiti, with apple orchards, pine forest and traditional wood and stone houses.
The old Kamru fort sits above Sangla. It is the overnight stop on day 1 and the base for the drive up the valley to Rakcham and Chitkul.
